Who is the best quarterback in the history of the NFL?

there are quite a few that pop into my mind...personally I feel that dan marino is possibly the best. although he never got the rings that montana, staubach, aikman, elway, young, and bradshaw got, they didnt put up numbers like dan the man but brett favre is givin him a run for his money

Who is the best quarterback in the history of the NFL?nba draft history

.Its a toss up between Montana and Bradshaw. Quarterback greatness is judged by Superbowl wins. So that being said I will go with Montana until Brady passes him.

PS Dilfer has 1 win and Marino nothing. I would take Dilfer over Marino

Who is the best quarterback in the history of the NFL?nba playoffs 2007 ,nba teams

montana, 4 rings
look further, grasshopper....to the days of yesteryear....and you might find a few....that measure up to these hacks. Dan Marino was a prima donna when they came to Doak Campbell Stadium (Tallahassee, Fl, circa 19something). However, I thank you SO much for not mentioning a Peyton!!

Go with God.
It'll be Peyton Manning when it's all said and done.
sammy baugh, personally i pick this guy lol because i knew that most of u dont know who baugh is

Perhaps his greatest season was 1943, when he became the only player ever to lead the NFL in passing, punting, and interceptions. Baugh was an All-Pro in 1937, 1940, 1943, 1945, 1947, and 1947. When he retired after the 1952 season, he held most of the NFL's passing records. His punting average of 51.4 yards a kick in 1940 and his passing completion mark of 70.3 percent in 1945 are still records.
1. johny unitas

2.joe montana

3.john elway
it would have to be troy aikman for the cowboys because he is the best out there
Brett Favre- How many QB's do you know that get sacked, get up and headbutt the tackler? Has this guy ever missed a game due to injury? He would definitely be the QB for my all-time team.
Brett Favre, hands down.
It's really close between Marino and Favre, but I would have to choose Mr. Favre because he just broke a couple of Marino's records this year.
Wow. That's tough. With his surge this year, I would go with Brett Favre.
You don't have to ask Madden, how many times did he say Brady is the best QB he's ever seen play last week? I thought they were dating the way he was going on and on.
Wow. Nobody mentioned Tom Brady. When his career is over, Tom Brady will be the best ever.
Johnny Unitas

The man's records and impact on the game as a whole speak for themselves.
Joe Montana
Joe Montana. Others had better stats, but no one exceeds him when it came to making crucial wins. At times when it counted most, during crunch time, there has been no one better.
1. bret favre 2. john elway 3. drew bledsoe 4. joe montana 5. peyton manning 6. troy aikman 7. johnny unitas 8. steve young 9. phil simms 10. len dawson
Take championships away and it's Dan Marino, now followed by Brett Favre. Behind them would probably be Elway, Tarkenton, and Unitas.
Joe Montana
Joe Montana.... was so good he forced a hall of famer (Steve Young) to sit and wait his turn
Well, If Brett Favre win another superbowl this year then he will be the greatest in my opinion..cause he will go to HOF with both stats and the rings.
joe mantana
Well, I'm a Colts fan =). So, Peyton Manning has my heart =).
Um.... I think Brett has put up and surpassed most of Dan's numbers and is doing it very well. And has a great story to tell. I think he's the best QB of all time. He does have the records, TDs, wins, starts, most MVPs, Superbowl, etc.

What else does he need?
Fav-re

Anyone who can make the world pronounce his name completely contrary to its spelling wins by default.
Hands down,

Brett Favre!!

All hail the Fav-re!!!!

lol :-)
Tony Romo
David Carr.
